Talk television seems to be such a great vehicle for certain individuals to become mega conglomerates, and there is no better example then Oporah. Certainly the hub of her monster cash vehicle is the Oprah Winfrey Show, but from this power center she has launched numerous other ventures like the Oprah Magazine and Oprah Book Club just to name a couple. The magazine caries her name, has her picture on every cover and dispenses with all kinds of advice, supposedly based on her beliefs and choices. Sounds like a cult leader doesn't it? The American public likes help making choices, and who better to believe than Oprah? If it's on Oprah's list of good stuff it's good enough for me. I’m not much for TV and shows like the Oprah Winfrey show in particular, but I would be interested in reading her biography. Anyone with as much money as she has and a big enough ego to have a magazine with their name and their image on every single cover would be sure to have an interesting biography.
