The Oprah Winfrey show has been around for a long time, and with that it has grown from being an exclusive little program to primetime television and an entire Oprah Empire.

For a while, I thought the Oprah Winfrey show wasn't for me. As a guy, I imagined that it would really have nothing but senseless bantering akin to the View and that I would probably waste my time watching it - let alone feel less masculine.

But one day before I went to work I had caught an episode of the Oprah Winfrey show as I was putting my clothes on and decided to just watch it since I was on my way out the door in a few mintues anyway. It was about government installed tracking chips in people and a family who had volunteered to be a tester for their own "safety". A very controversial episode, it really changed my mind about Oprah and her show. She really does cover serious things and is a good journalist in her approach.

So, you should go watch - it really isn't that bad and if I had cable now I would probably watch it every day!
