oprah winfrey show Chicago is the birthplace of many great things including the NBA Bulls,  deep dish pizza, Oprah Winfrey Show and all sorts of great musicians. That being said it made a lot of sense Chicago entered the bidding for the 2016 Olympics. I had really high hopes they could pull this one off but after getting up this morning and turning on the news, I learned Chicago was the first city knocked off the list and the winner ended up being Rio de Janeiro. In the clip below you will get to see Oprah off the Oprah Winfrey Show promoting Chicago as the best city in the world.

 Apparently the Olympic Committee didn’t buy into what Oprah or Michelle Obama for that matter had to say. I have never been to Chicago but from what I’ve heard it is supposed to be spectacular. Then again many of the people who told me this did grow up there. I believe this city is a great place but there must have been something about it that had the Olympic Committee writing it off so quick.
